EcoDataCenter 2: The next-generation of AI-ready, sustainable high-performance computing

Piteå servers

Built on the former Kvarnsveden paper mill site in Dalarna, Sweden, this state-of-the-art plot spans over 20 acres and is designed to deliver enterprise-scale compute capacity with unmatched sustainability, efficiency, and scalability. By leveraging the region’s industrial heritage and abundant power resources, the site sets a new global standard for high-performance computing.

Much of the groundwork is already completed, making it well-prepared for data center operations even before full site completion. Environmental permits have been submitted, with five awaiting approval. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with the first phase of the site set to be completed by mid-2027.
