We care about your privacy

All customers, partners and visitors should feel safe when entrusting EcoDataCenter with their personal data. All processing of personal data used by EcoDataCenter takes place in accordance with applicable personal data legislation.

The purpose of processing your data is to fulfil our delivery commitment, as well as to be able to provide better and more personal offers, experiences, services or evaluate for employment or cooperation in our communication with you. 
 
EcoDataCenter has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure that EcoDataCenter handles your personal data in a lawful, accurate and transparent manner. If you have a concern you would like to address to our DPO, please see Contact details at the bottom of the page. 

Collection of personal data

We collect personal data mainly through: 

  • Physical visits to our facilities, to maintains security. 
  • Interaction with customers, suppliers and partners though electronic transfer, to deliver our product. 
  • Activity on our website and social media. 
  • Logged activities and access by partners in internal systems if applicable, to protect company information. 
  • Electronic surveys and forms linked to us. 
  • Public registers. 

Joint Data Protection Responsibility

The companies EcoDC AB, EcoDC Falun AB and EcoDC Borlänge AB have a joint partnership and an internal agreement outlining how to share data within the company structure.

This means that the companies determine the purposes and means of processing together.  You can exercise your rights against any of the jointly responsible companies. 

Your Rights according to GDPR

You have the right to know if personal data is being processed about you. You can also request that your personal data needs to be completed or amended if it is incorrect or incomplete. You always have the right to request that your personal data be deleted if they are no longer used for their intended purpose or to retract consent. You also have the right to restrict the processing where it is applicable according to GDPR. You can request a free register extract to receive information on what data is registered about you. The request must be in writing and signed.  

You have the right to leave a complaint if you believe that personal data is being processed incorrectly or in violation of the GDPR. Unsubscribe from any of our mailings or contact us.

Visits to our sites

In order to maintains security at our site we have conducted some actions on our sites. We will collect name, email, phone number, company name and possible SSG number if applicable, in order to let you access our data center facilities.

We do not store your personal data longer than necessary, but no longer than 36 months after your visit.

Camera surveillance 

Camera surveillance is in place at all EcoDataCenter sites. This is to ensure security inside and outside the data center and to increase the safety of both staff and visitors to EcoDataCenter sites. We do not store camera surveillance for longer than necessary, but no longer than 90 days. 

Customers, suppliers and other business partners

In order to ensure delivery of our product, information about customers, suppliers and other business partners like name, email, phone number, hiring number, personal number (if applicable), company and activities performed in systems is processed and stored for as long as the relationship and related legislation requires, which can be up to 10 years for a possible prescription period. This includes if you are given access to internal systems in accordance with an agreement with EcoDataCenter. 

Marketing and events


In our marketing and events work, we use a limited number of systems in which your personal data is processed. Data registered with us may be disclosed to partners at joint events. The personal data is only disclosed for the purpose of organising the event and for follow up by us and in some cases our partner. We do not store your personal data longer than necessary, but no longer than 36 months after our last contact. 

Security

Your personal data is safe with us. Only a limited number of authorised persons have access to the data and systems are protected against various types of damage, such as intrusion.
