Reinforced flooring

When considering the future of high-performance digital infrastructure, the size of what goes into the building is important to understand. We have tailored our data centers for a heavy hardware future.

We have strengthened our leading switchgear flooring in the main corridors and all halls, to accommodate loads from 2200 kg/m² to 8000 kg/m².

This allows for big, compact clusters such as the GB200 to be safely transported and installed at EcoDataCenter.

We build the future of data centers. And we identified liquid cooling as a game changer. Why?

  • The cooling efficiency increases due to the higher density of water compared to air.
  • This translates to increased rack density and compute output without the need to build bigger halls.
  • Liquid cooling drastically lowers the energy consumption and space requirements compared to air-based cooling, freeing up more room and resources to design a truly flexible data center.
  • The new level of compute power enabled by liquid cooling translates to higher heat output, increasing the reuse of waste heat in nearby energy systems.

A natural support

Wood is good

We have chosen to build in wood to reduce the pressure on nature. 

A big share of the material in our buildings come from the forests around EcoDataCenter. The advantages are abundant.

In our Data Center 1C and 1A, the carbon footprint is around 60% lower per m2 compared to conventional data centers.

Wood allows for a high degree of flexibility in adapting the data center to specific needs, even in late-stage planning.

For DeepL, the wooden profile allows them to grow their compute with minimal climate impact.
